![]() On this reboot zap the PRAM - immediately hold down the Command-Option-P-R keys, keep them held down until you've heard at least three additional sets of startup chimes. ![]() Then shut down (don't use restart) - if necessary, press and hold the front panel button on the Mac - after 5 to 8 seconds or so it should shut down. Try throwing away these preference files. Copy that folder to your hard drive, then drop it into the closed Extensions folder in the System Folder on the hard drive. ![]() Locate and open the Extensions folder in there locate the folder in there named Multiprocessing. Insert your most recent OS 9 Install CD (you do not need to boot to it) open the System Folder on the CD. If that folder is missing, you can replace it easily. Make sure the Multiprocessing folder is present in Extensions, per this Apple Kbase article -Īrticle #25048 - Mac OS: Do Not Remove Multiprocessing Folder
